Where can oil and coolant mix?
h23, manual tranny. Hey ya'll thought i had a blown head gasket. So i replaced it, got the head pressure checked for cracked and then resurfaced.
Flushed and replaced oil and coolant. After say only 10-15 minutes of it running, oil is back into the radiator and my oil level is low. wtf
I guess there are is a coolant line that runs through the oil cooler? I had it checked out by a respected shop around here and its fine.
Any other places where this can happen? Thanks!

wtf Check that line again at another shop. Maybe the line is fine but it could be a little loose??? Maybe the block has a fine crack that expands when heated up??? I've never heard of anything like that
the oil cooler at the base of your oil filter is probably internally cracked, take it off, clean all the oil and coolant out of it and use some compressed air to check for cracks. i'd check it your self just to be sure. otherwise you got a serious problem, like a crack somewhere. good luck
Thanks I'll check that.
The original head(not on there now..duh) i had on it had a crack from a freeze plug to where the headbolt goes through. Dont know if that helps any.

i just helped my friend put an engine together, it sounds like you had the same situation we went through, we went through 3 head gaskets, had the head resurfaced and got new dowels for the head. instead of hooking everything back up and before putting the cams and stuff back on, just bolt the head down, connect all your hose and run water through the radiator and pump it, wait like 2-5 min for it all to flow through, if you didn't connect your oil line, you should see water coming out of it, if you do something wasn't plugged up in there. my buddy took his head to get cleaned and he had to change his valves on piston #1 since it was messed up but we eventually had to use a diff head. that's how the oil got into the radiator and how it got to the whole block, head, and oil pan. unbolt your oil pan bolt to see if water runs through that too. i'm not sure if this helps but that's what we did to trouble shoot the problem...
he got his head pressure checked and all that good stuff too. we finally figured where it was leaking after 2 weeks of trouble shooting...
