2003 Civic Fuel sending unit

Hey ppl. I just bought a 2003 Civic hybrid. I'm having a problem with my fuel gauge where it reads about 7/8 full at all times. I was wondering if this model has a fuel gauge sending unit like the older ones? Anyone know thanks for the help

Its a float on an arm that swings along a printed circuit board in the gas tank. I have no idea if thats how the old ones worked.
