true, I had a set of 60a replacements mounts for my 92 DA w/ a B16A and that even made a bit of dashboard shake. I loved them though...

Stick with street, the stiffer mounts multiply vibration and sound. The car will actually sound louder inside, I immediately pulled them back out and went to a set of ITR mounts.

I've got the Black ones (75A) and I love them. I dont have any of the vibration problems that others have mentioned. Maybe I'm just lucky.

same question here, im thinkin of the street mounts on my ek (will run brand new oem rear mount though) but was intending on removing lower torque mounts

how will this affect cabin vibration, motor movement and overall feel of car etc ?

Solid metal? Unless it's a race car, you're in for pain.

I run the Jim Fab urethane mounts. (He used to make solid ones, too.) My dash rattles; no surprise, as the engine is more 'connected' to the car. It's more of a bother in the city, but less so with the windows down. On the hwy it drones a bit, but it's not rattly. Feels much better than stock.

pain as in discomfort for me or pain for my car? as in it being more connected to the car, how does it affect performance?

pain as in pain in the ***. The vibration you would feel through the steering wheel and the rest of the car would literally drive you nuts over time if you used solid mounts. Can you understand that? Your car isn't a race car so you don't need race parts. Solid/stiffer mounts reduce engine movement allowing smoother power delivery to the ground. When you get on the gas the power transitions through the drivetrain, to the ground in a much more linear way. Soft mounts allow the engine to move and flex and power delivery can sometimes be a little "jerky" which is what you don't want when racing your car.

cliff notes: if you don't race your car, you will not notice any MEASURABLE gain in "performance". Some will just like how it feels better and in some cases wheel hop will be eliminated or reduced but at the expense of vibration into the passenger cabin.

upon cold-starting my car, my steering wheel feels like a Shiatsu massager. I imagine that with solid mounts things would feel more like operating a jackhammer.

I'm also interested in the street mounts, anyone have anymore to say about these lowest rated mounts?

I had innovative (60A) mounts in my EJ1 with a JDM gsr motor and I launched my car and the dash broke out of place. So I don't think you would want anything above 60A for daily driving.
