Default skunk2 pro cams stage 1 ?

Can I just get some valve springs or do I have to get retainers too? I have a h22 I been told I just need to buy valve springs dont know if this is safe any feedback will be great.

OEM retainers will lead you to have ret. to valve stem seal clearance issues. I would use aftermarket retainers, personally.

pro 1's i would definitely run complete valvetrain.. and you will be building power to a little over 8000. shifting at about 8100 to 8300. Is this a stock motor? what else do you have done to it?

what do you mean you max out at 7600? rev limiter at 7600? by the way you will need to get tuned with those cams. What ECU are you running?

I havnt put the cams in yet but the bottom end is stock, might get some headwork done and 7600 is were I shift at because I lose power after 7700 rpm

What Ecu are you running? with the cams like i said you will be shifting at 8200 or so at the track. do you have a tuner in mind yet to dyno after you put the cams in? since you are In Riverside you can go to Chris at Whitfield racing. he's great at Crome tuning. we made 210 on his dyno with a stock h2b with ebay header and intake tube, and pro 1's.

for sure the cams will help a LOT.. you should be right at or over 200 no prob. and get the complete valvetrain. we ran the tuner series valvesprings and retainers with no problems whatsoever. even with misshifts to 9000+ rpm !!!

I know this, I was seeing if the thread creator even knew what he was putting in his engine.
