Default alternator

my car has been running bad for a while now. after my front end crash my altnator plug got a little banged and lately ive noticed sometimes it is completely off and i have to plug it back in. the car feels the same with or without the alternator plug connected? is this correct? also when i put the windows up everything dims noticably. driving with the plug disconnected seems incorrect. can anyone give me some advice.

Grounding issue. Posibly bad connection I.E. coroded ground, loose wire, something rotten

For the record, you might check all grounds and connections okay. Also you might find that your charging system checks out.

I have battery light flicker intermittenly as well. But I also have a UR crank pulley and an altenator rated at 80 amps(OEM amps are rated at 90)

Causes not to good a chargeCheck this thread
