Default Some questions I have about B16 cams VS GSR cams

I have been doing some research and have seen some different opinions.

my goals are to hit 350WHP-400WHP on 93octane on a LS/vtec(B18b bottom end with Wiseco pistons/Eagle rods and JDM obd1 B16 with ramhorn manifold T3/T4 57 trim I think a i might get the .63ar and 3"dp to full 3" exhaust, I would like to see full boost by ~5200-5300rpm)

1. Some say its not worth swapping B16 cams out for GSR cams, I dont think thats true but I could be wrong.

2. Some say its best to use the intake cam from a b16 and an exhaust cam from a GSR, is that true?

3. Once I get the engine built I will be driving it NA for a little bit, will it run fine with GSR cams or even just the exhaust GSR cam on a stock P30 ecu or would I have to get it chpped and tuned?

4. I dont know much about cams but if I bought a set of used cams do I have to physically have anything done to the used cams before installing them(like cleaned or surfaced or anything)

thanks for your help

1. some do but for the price i'd do it.
2. no clue
3. DO NOT DO THAT ! tune your engine on first start up. not b/c of the cams but b/c of the built motor.
4. jst look at them, make sure they havent been oil starved or worn out by stiff valve train. you should be able to see it all in a pic before you buy.

i see 8psi on a 57trim/log on a stock b16 by like 5400 i think. you should see even faster spool up with the bigger motor.

here is the answer to your questions: GSR cams!

its worth the 50 bucks you can get them for. i broke one once and had to put in a b16 intake cam for a few weeks, and i noticed a change in my afr, which im chalking up to a result of lower ve.

gsr cams are hands down better.

make sure no mating surfaces on the cam shaft are dry of oil or lubricant.
