Default New to painting and wanted to paint my own car.

Hi, I just started looking through the thread and i was going to paint my prelude. I was also gonna help a friend paint his civic. I was just wondering what all i need. As i have nothing right now. Also tips and advice are very much appreciated.

Also whats a good starter paint gun? as in $100 to $150 range?

for that price range, a sharpe/finex will do ya just fine. you need alot of stuff to paint a car. mostly time. look through some more threads. this topic has been coverd about a million times.

yea i know, if your wanting to spend 150 bucks on a paint gun, dont buy a harbor freight or ebay junk box. sharpe/finex makes a pretty decent economy gun for that price. its good on material and air consumption and is a decent paint gun for the price.

haha....this is what i was talking about. when i was first starting off in the body and paint business i used this gun for a little while and it does a pretty good job for how cheap it is. its a good econom gun and will work great for someone whos not wanting to drop 600 bucks on a really good paint gun.
