I'm doing a d16y8 engine swap into my hx. Only 1 out of 2 plug will connect to the hx harness. The 2nd ex plug with 4 wires wouldn't fit the hx plug with 16 wires. I just cut off the 2nd plug from the hx engine harness and solder it onto the exengine harness. I manage to match all the color except the blue wires in the picture. Can anyone please tell me what function does the blue wire have?

if it is by the distributer or near the clutch slave cylinder the blue wire is tach signal

 

what should i connect the blue wire 2?
