don't think you can remove the rear seat, and if you replace the drivers seat you'll have to add weight to make it legal anyways.

your best bet is probably a lighter weight exhaust and some light wheels. GL.

Seats AND brackets have to weight 25lbs or more
Lightweight battery. I had one that was 10lbs compared to the 40lbs battery
Lightweight wheels. My Enkei RPF1s are 9.5lbs
Shaved tires
hollow sway bars
exhaust
header
intake
lighter speakers
remove AC
remove PS

And no you cannot remove interior pieces OR remove sound deadening.

of course, 4 speakers in an EG was an option, so those might be able to go. Check if your integra had any such option, or if something like a wing, wipers etc. were optional in your trim level, as they could then legally be removed

Some things that people don't always think of:

Windshield washer fluid. Car hold 5 pounds of liquid in front of the front axle - remove it.

Lug nuts - Typical nuts weigh about 5 lbs total and they are unsprung weight so it effects handling like 20 lbs. Skunk2 makes some really nice Magnesium/Aluminium nuts. They are expensive $100/set but all 15 weigh about 1lb.

Empty the glove box, center console - you'd be surprised how much that junk in there weights.

Rear wiper can be removed and replaced with a plug.

Antenna - motorized antennas are heavy.

Wheels are big. You can easily find 11 pound wheels for your car and you can easily find 20 lb wheels. The difference will probably be good for 0.2 - 0.5 seconds for the best drivers.

Sway bars. A hollow sway bar can provide the same stiffness as a solid one for less than 1/2 the weight. Also, you can try shrinking to tiny bars if you increase your spring rates. Your street ride will suffer however.

Battery - tiny and light ones are available

I don't think that one is allowed unless its a dealer-installed option. Most Honda/Acura ones are factory-installed per trim level.

That's what I was thinking too.

Also see if you can run the car at 1/4 tank instead of a full tank of gas. That saves about 6-8 gallons whihc is 7lbs per gallon.

take them out and weigh them. Only 4 bolts holding the seat down.

I believe the a/c rule was changed? Someone correct me if I am wrong. (I should know... but I am too lazy to look up the rule book.)

Also, what is your end goal with the car? Local hot shot? Divisional competitive car? Nationally competitive car? If its the last option, you are barking up the wrong chassis. While the argument holds that Jason Rhodes did get it done in a Nissan, most of us lack the time and resources he had to make an odd ball car work.

I believe the seats for the ST classes must weigh a minimum of 15lbs.
I actually had to add weight to my seat to make it legal for STX.

A/C removal in STS, after 2008, is only allowed in cars that had it as an option. I don't think any USDM 94-01 Integra (non-R) came without A/C, so I advise you to leave it in. If you don't, off to SP you go.

But yeah, front seats, battery, wheels, header, exhaust...all of those are heavy on an Integra.

It's very easy to shed 100lbs from an STS Integra.

Ah this guy would know if anyone Hey Todd. Todd competed at the National level in a Type R in STX.

FYI my 00 Civic Si stock weighed 2612lb I believe stock. I was able to get her down to 2450lbs in STS trim. All I needed to do was add some lighter seats, and at the time remove the AC to get to around 2400lbs. I was also able to run the car with 1/8 tank of gas with no fuel starvation.

Pfft Type R... I ran STX at Nationals last year in a 4 door Integra LS that my friend the owner ran in STS along with my GRM Challenge co-conspirator. We actually lost 15 lbs of weight between Thursday and Friday by removing the rear wing and removing all the magnets except for the required ones and making numbers with blue tape. We were DFL in both classes, nothing wrong with it specially when it was our team name. Well they did censor us to Team DL, apparently the F was not politically correct.

In essence, what the story above should teach you is that while its great to compete you also should remember to have fun and enjoy the camaraderie.

The RS didn't have A/C either. It didn't have abs, a sunroof or cruise control, either.

2008 SCCS Solo Rules
14.1 Authorized Modifications - STS
B. Air conditioning systems may be removed in whole or in part.
This rule should not be interpreted to allow modification of the
heater system.

Solves the dilemma :D you can yank the whole thing out if you want

Interesting. Typo? FasTrac from last year said bye-bye to the a/c removal allowance.
