Default I'm stumped...Need major help..

Okay, here goes. I recently purchased a 90 Civic Hatch DX. It was swapped with a d16z6 motor, but was kept DPFI and cable tranny. There's a dizzy there that has a homemade bracket to hold up the dizzy. I'm not sure what kind of dizzy is on there. But was wondering, is there a way I can re-wire the stock d16z6 dizzy and run it on a pm6, SI ecu? or would I have to change out the whole shock tower wiring harness. I'm new to EF's, and currently driving a boosted vitara'd hatch, and used to have a 400+ whp boosted four door. Thank you for those who actually chimed in and helped, and for those who have nothing else to do but to flame me just because I have some questions, you can get off this thread.

convert to obd1. running a obdo dizzy on a z6 head will just require some ghetto fabbing and cutting. rywire.com

probably still DPFI because it was easier to swap the manifold to the new motor, than change wiring and ecu. i did a similar swap back in the day.

if you are willing to spend some bucks, you can get the correct ecu, manifold, and dizzy...then do some wiring and reap the rewards. if you want the lazy way out, stay DPFI, and make a more appropriate dizzy work with your DX wiring.

no VTEC at the moment, is there?

Ahh this sucks lol, sorry guys, I feel like such a n00b. I actually bought it off some guy who said it had a d16z6 swap, so I was thinking, hmm.. single-v in an EF hatch (DX) $1000. It seemed fair to me, then when I got to meeting up with him, I popped the hood expectiing to see an actual intake manifold, MPFI. I was disappointed thinking it was complete z6 but it was just z6 motor, still cable tranny and DPFI but bought the car anyways since he threw in another set of tires, carpet, coilovers(ebay) and whatever else. But yeah to answer your questions, the car actually came with DPFI, and is there no way I can use the stock D16Z6 dizzy on the set up I have now? I have almost complete MPFI conversion and a PR4 is there a way I can repinn the engine harness for OBD1 Z6 dizzy? I already have an SI engine harness, just missing resistor box, and is actually already pre-wired for vtec. To answer your other question. No vtec then again, it is just a stock single. Not looking to run 10's or anything. Just trying to get it running right. Hard part is I daily drive this thing and would try anything as long as it can be done in a day or two, over the weekend. Thanks for putting up with my lame questions, like I always say, there's no such thing as a stupid question, as knowledge is the key to everything. You learn something new everyday. Thanks guys!

This is simple......use the d16z6 manifold! Gather your parts...injectors,ecu,etc

Get a obd0-obd1 harness made so you can have a plug and play. You won't have these problems.

gave up on the MPFI swap, just purchased a d15b non vtec. The ones that came out of the older EF's 88' I was told. 30 day Warranty. Came up being $4xx.00, spendy I know. But just wanted it to run right. Like I said. Daily driver. =D Thanks guys for all the help and support.
