EF wiper help..
Please excuse the newbness for the post...but my wipers on my car are not...well...working
. Its not fuses or anything like that, you can hear something...like smack as if the motor and everything is working its just not moving the wipers itself. Any idea how to fix this problem??

May be stupid of me to ask but did you make sure the nut holding the wiper arm down was tight? Every now and then mine will loosen just enough to make the wiper not move.

The guy above me has a really good point these cars or notorious for that so get a 10mm ractchet and check both of them. Also, I would like to add that I am a dumb@$$, and when I took my wipers off to paint them (flat black no ricer stuff) I put them on opposite.
Good luck
Good luck
Well it could be a couple things,
the wiper arm switch
the wiper motor and its linkage
the ICU, integrated control unit. its on the back of the fuse panel in the car. although I have only heard of it causing problems with the intermittent setting.
or a random wiring issue I guess.
get a multimeter and check the plug going to the wiper motor( while the wipers are on of coarse) it should be getting some sort of signal/ voltage (12volts is probably the fast setting). if it isnt my guess would be the switch is bad. if it is getting a signal than the wiper motor is probably burned out.
I'm not sure how to test the ICU, but removing it and taking the case off of it is really easy, then you can inspect the curcuit board and all its components.

My wipers would only wipe once when set to intermitent, and I replaced that thing (It looks like the original gamboy) on the back of the fuse box, and it fixed my problem. His problem sounds mechanical though.

def not motor....someone told me it could be linkage...took the wipers off and the nothing was moving. thinking about taking it to a shop...tired of fooling with it.

have you tried this?
if your feeling lazy, just get a wiper switch from the junkyard, its most likely the problem, and it should be pretty cheap too.

ah its not that im lazy...its just one thing after another with my ef lol first i had to have my car completely rewired because dude i got it from cut all the wires from the firewall and threw them away. So then the conversion harness i got for obd0-1 had to be repinned in the ecu cause of what idk but thats what Fastech Motorsports in Knoxville said. As you can imagine that cost alot. Then the b20 head gasket went out. Then a shattered my b16 tranny...changed the tranny out in a bank parking lot. b20 head gasket went out again because come to find out it didnt have vtec dowel pins....vtec oil line fitting in the block broke, pulled in at a church came back that night and retapped the sob. then while i wasnt around my car someone opened up my oil cap and dropped some kind of interior bolt of some sort in...messed up my springs. so i perceeded to buy a gsr motor. well the rings were shot in it and had too much blow by in #2 cylinder....my oem hood flew up on me and dinted the roof a lil....no biggie cause it didnt harm the windshield. unbolted it and threw it in a ditch. got a obd1 b16 with b16 tranny threw it in and everythings perfect until my wheel bearing goes out lmao. then on my jdm front conversion the vis carbon hood decides to fly up on me when im going 65 on the istate...cracking the windshield and messing up the roof a lil more woot woot. oh and i got a bad tranny seal...have to keep puttin oil in it till i have the other seal put on...dont really have time cause of work.so im just growing use to the fact that my car will always have problems....i got a guy thats gonna take off the clear coat of my hood and fiberglass the whole thing then paint it to match car
.
ima knock the dents out of the roof and bondo what i cant get out...repaint. have pep boys put in a new wheel bearing. speedy transmission put in my tranny seal. and idk what to do about the wipers....idk how to go about fixing those sobs. new windshield installed is 190. but yea ive only had the car since july lol
