burning out fuel pump relays
Alright, so my 89 si hatch has had a d16y8 swap in it for over 2 years. After it has been sitting for about 5-6 months, i had a new downpipe put on it and my engine builder noticed the fuel pump relay was bad, due to no fuel getting to the motor and the pump being good. After switching it out the first time, worked great. Car sat for another 2 days, and that new relay burnt out. ANOTHER relay in, and a week later (this past saturday) another relay was burnt out. I had to get the car home to tampa from cocoa beach so I went ahead and put in another relay and disconnect it everytime I shut the car off. So 3 fuel pump relays in less than 2 weeks, and this is the first time its ever happened.
Could it be the stock pump finally giving up, and causing the burn outs? Or should I go straight at the wiring to the relay??
Any help would be appreciated thanks!

I realize that it most likely is the wiring, so where could I get ahold of such a wiring diagram?
and is it still possible that maybe a mechanical failure is causing this as well?

My CRX was burning up main relays as well it was also making a crazy buzzing noise.. turned out the relay wasnt grounding well. The wiring diagram in the haynes repair manuals are pretty exact you can pick them up at pep boys too.
