d16a6 cam is supposed to be grinded for more HP but pretty much the same if your not talking like intake manifolds

they are not the same
the cam profile on the A6 head its wilder and produces more power on the band than a B2
they are similar in esencials.. has 16v, one cam. they can be swaped for each other, and stuff like that.. but the results are diff...

ok what about d16y7 block onto a d16a6 head ? I'm getting a d16y7 bottom end, i need a head so im probably gonna go with the a6 head. Should bolt on to my ef chassis right? I'm gonna be using a d15b2 intake manifold for now and a a6 tranny/flywheel.

prety much the opposite of what most people do!
performance wise it's gonna suck, but if you're just going for reliability, you'll be allright

yea i'll settle for a d15b2 motor if i can find one so i'm just piecing these parts together I'm gonna be using the hatch for a daily driven vehicle rather than anything else.

the heads are the same the cam is in essance not part of teh head and neither are teh vavle springs witch u failed to mention are also different.... but its not that much of a difference in the cam that is the springs are stiffer on the a6
