thanks for the input. When you say OEM does that mean OEM replacement or genuine Honda OEM cause I notice alot of sites that sayOEM but there not genuine.
thanks sorry to sound so dumb to this. I know the timing is important and I dont want to buy something somebody promises will be as good as honda parts if it isnt. Peace. this forum has been a blessing since I got my first crx. I appreciate all you guys time and efforts.

Dont get me wrong, Im not bashing the aftermarket, but somw things have been proven over time to last a certain amount of time almost guaranteed. The timing belt is one of those parts. So is anything electrical.
OEM is the only way to go when it comes to timing belt/tensioner/water pump. When I say OEM, I am referring to Honda OEM parts. You can get them at a Honda dealership, http://www.hondapartsdeals.com, and http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com.
Oh yeah I feel ya on that. I like after market also for things like distributer, plug wire etc. timing just diff to me. I didnt think you were bashing it. I felt it was solid advice.
Distributers and plug wires are deffinately some things I do NOT go to the aftermarket for.
Anything electrical. I have learned those lessons over time the hard way.
