Car idles up at start up then dies
Looking to bounce this off the community for ideas on areas that I can start to look at first.
2006 RSX Type-S. 41k miles.
Last month I pulled my Comptech Supercharger off to get back to stock. Had it on for about 1 year and everything worked fine after reassembling it. Aside from idling a little rough at first she seemed to be back to her old self. I pulled it out of the garage and yesterday started it up again just to keep the battery in good shape.
Again it started up fine then after a couple minutes it stalled. So I started it back up, it ran for approximately 3 seconds, then idled up to 1500 rpms, then stalled. Confused I looked everything over to make sure I don't have a vacuum leak or disconnected sensor anywhere and things seem to be in good order. I continued for a couple more trys with the same results. Ignition on, starts, idles 3 seconds as normal, idles up to 1500 rpms, dies. So just for the heck of it I threw my battery charger on for about an hour since that was my initial goal and went inside to do some reading. When I came out an hour later I started it up and to my shock it ran fine for several minutes. Confused and somehow thinking it was my battery I decided to take it for a short jog around the block. To my dismay it only made it 40 feet down the road then stalled again. Since then same results as described above. Ignition on, starts, idles 3 seconds as normal, idles up to 1500 rpms, dies.
*When I turn on the ignition I hear the fuel pump working.
*For the couple seconds it runs everything sounds normal.
*It's not throwing any CEL's.
To me I'd guess my problem is somewhere in the throttle body area? (IAC valve, MAP sensor). Do you guys have any suggestions on where you would start?

I did have K-Pro. That's been removed now and I have the stock ECU back in place. When I had the K-Pro I simply had the immobilizer dissabled because I didn't want to go through the process of matching the keys to the ecu. So at this point it is completely stock again.
Try pulling off the IAC valve and giving it a good cleaning with degreaser and lubricate the bearings. Sounds like the problems you are experiencing: high idle and stalling...may be the result of a dirty IAC valve.
Thanks guys for the response. I'll probably attempt the pull the throttle body tomorrow to check out the IAC Valve and spray it down.
I wanted to quick explain some more about the problem I found out tonight.
I remembered during this whole thing that I never did the idle learning procedure so I decided to try it. When I did the idle learn procedure by disconnecting the battery and then reconnecting the car runs without stalling. I did the idle learn procedure and it ran fine (albeit at a high idle of 1500 rpm's) for 10 minutes.
So I went out for a drive, made it all the way to the light around the corner, stalled.
I luckily pulled into a gas station and tried to start it up. Back to it's bad habit it would idle up high then die. Several times, same result. So I popped the hood disconnected the battery and reconnected it. Car started right up and idled fine, enough to drive home and stall on my road.
WTF is going on?!?!
