i bought a engine harness for my 96 civic that has a man tranny and vtec with the d16y8 motor. my evap canistar has no plug on the shut vent valve... i would like to know if on this harness the connector is on the harness or somwhere else

 

Pick of harness?

 

You mean the clip for the purge valve on top of the intake mani? It should be there if the previous user didn't hack up the harness. It's right near the injector clips, and can easily be confused with one of the injector clips but this 5th one won't fit the injectors so that's how you know.

 

yeah... I know that the purge valve on top of the intake mani... what I am reffering to is the EVAP canister shut vent valve.... there is a plug on top of the EVAP canister... I want to know if the plug is on the engine harness or where is it on the 96 civic ex

 

Oh, that plug. I'm fairly certain it's not on the engine harness. That brings up a good question of which harness it's part of though...

 

so where is that plug??? Is it on the main harness?

if im correct obd2a is automatic. tht harness wont work with a manual car or computer. wont even plug in.

obd2a means that it is from 96-98... 99-00 is obd2b

 

yes... hose 22 is connected to the EVAP canister shut vent valve... is the connector for it on the harness?
