Default Skunk2 H22 IM Question...

Ok, so I just got off the phone with Skunk2. I called to ask about when they were going to release a manifold for the H22 that will fit in a Civic...The answer was not what I was looking for. He told me that people were sectioning the IM to make it fit. (Cut a section out and weld it back together) Has anyone done this and if so, what were your gains?

Mine fit fine, but i have an h2b setup.

I have seen them on civics with regular H swaps, I believe you just have to relocate the IACV, use a block off plate and move something on the firewall.

Havent heard of anyone going to as much of a drastic measure as cutting the firewal but that doesnt mean someone hasnt.

i've heard of it!! and seen it! on an EK.... they cut the firewall.... not my idea of making it fit but i guess they wanted to run it really bad... H2b has a lot more clearance as the motor is tilted forward. the skunk2 mani fit on our H2B crx! and that is VERY limited on space. i'm running the GE manifold on my All H22 crx. had to get the kens custom master cylinder because the mani hit the booster and master!!! you can make it fit it just takes some "massaging of the firewall" with a big hammer!! or you can get the euro R manifold. they sell a lot of the block off plates and brackets necessary to run it on ebay.

to the OP whats your setup anyway??

To clarify something, I am not talking about cutting the firewall. I am talking about cutting the manifold.
