Default NEED HELP...un-installing turbo/intercooler/etc. Difficulty!?

I'm uninstalling my turbo and intercooler from my b18 ...I really need to know if it is something I can do or if i should just shell out the money to get it pulled. Is it just the issue of disconnecting the turbo, intercooler, and tubing and reattaching the header and exhaust or am I dreaming. Also, if the engine is a new (and a bit worked) will I really lag if I throw a b18 trans in? I'm looking for a little torque...but a good daily driver that wont scream at highway speeds (60-80) Please let me know!

mostly because I just bought the car and the tranny blew on the ride home...the car was doing 4100rpm at65 on the highway in 5th and I want it to be a bit more of a daily driver...ill take my tourque in the motor and trans...but I don't really want to shell out the money for another trans anytime soon...I'll probably settle on a b18 trans to save some gas and travel highway...maybe it sounds stupid...the car was fast...way too fast and torquey...I was gonna tone it back...anyways...what im really interested in knowing is how hard it is to uninstall a turbo ANY HELP would be greatly appreciated...

so can anyone tell me how to keep my rpm's down where they should be (2.5-3.5) when I'm doing 60-80? Should I just get an LS trans with a higher final gear?
