Just got some mount/bracket questions. I've done and witnessed several swaps and this one baffles me. A friend of mine has auto to manny 95 civic coupe with this setup B16a2/GSR tranny and things have gone haywire mount wise. Is it neccesary to move the passenger side tranny bracket and rewelded back onto to the frame further down. Or does anyone know a shop that customizes mounts for auto to manny swaps. What setup did u use or which hasport mount kit did u use? Mainly for the tranny side. The engine sits up lopsided in the bay. Isn't it supposed to drop into the bay without welding?

 

go to honda and get a 'weld-on' manual tranny bracket for that top tranny mount. get the old one for the auto off of there and have the new one welded on. reference someone else's manual bracket for the proper spot to attach.

 

well hcp makes an auto to manual swap on the tranny top side. call them. i ordered from them when i did an auto to manual swap in my friends 93 civic

 

place makes one as well

oh yeah...forgot about the conversion mounts! i didn't know about those when i did mine, but those would be the way to go just in case you possibly for some odd reason, wanted to return your car to a automatic. not sure how much they are but probably a lot.
