Toyo Question - last years tires...
my tires from 2007 still have lots of tread. Do they lose grip sitting in the cold all winter? They have been in my garage and/ or trailer since october.
Should I order a new set for 2008 or will these still be as good?
They were purchased new in 2007 (if it matters)
thanks.

Toyo issued a warning about not storing their R compounds at below-freezing temperatures.
My garage is unheated, so I keep my track tires in the basement over the winter, and switch them with the winter tires I keep in the basement the rest of the year.

the old tire will be slower. Just keep them for practice, and/or races that don't matter too much. Just make sure to have a fresh new set for the big events.
In a FWD car I put the old tires in the rear and keep new ones up front. But you gots one of them crazy RWD race cars.

No dude. Save this set for Nationals. Toyo Tires are like cheese. They go stinky with age.

Cheese gets better with age. Without age, it wouldn't be cheese.
