does anyone know where i can find the "jdm" (so im told) brake light that you cut in the left corner of your back bumper? it looks like a red rectangular light(nothing really special about it)

they used to have it at passwordjdm.com but i cant find it anymore...if anyone knows what im talking about can you hook me up with a place to get it..thanks

heres pics of mine on my hatch you can get them from jdmland.com they are about 130.00 depending on which side you want the light on. very expensive light but rare also its worth it to me and it helps out big time in the rain and durig foggy weather.

$130 for an extra brake light?? how the hell does it possibly help out any more than your stock brake lights in the fog? do you leave your lights off in those conditions or something that would warrant the gay-dm rear fog light?? it looks stupid, stupid concept and total waste of money. sorry to rant/hate real hard on this subject but it is pointless. it looks like you had nothing better to so you cut a rectangle in your rear bumper and said "holy ****, that's a great place for a 3rd brake light!!" - and how would you possibly know if that light makes any kind of difference?? do you have someone follow your car and tell you that if you didn't have that extra BRIGHT red light (to go along with the other brake lights on the car) they would've hit you??

once again...very sorry that im hating on this, just seriously find something better to spend $130 on.

its a fog light, they have it on european cars due to it being so foggy....

in the u.s. it's mainly used to identify slower hondas who spent more money on edm foglights than motor swaps.

I agree. Seems rather pointless to me.. $130 could've gone to something else exterior-wise that would boost up the cars appearance.

I thought I saw a rear fog that was built into the lower part of the tail light. What is that about?

The real ones for our cars are in the taillight (on the driver side). They're supposed to come on with the front fog lights and increase visibility of your car from behind. It's not a brake light, but it puts out about the same amount of light. You can find them on US Mercedes, Volvos and Mini Coopers.

The ones that are put into bumpers are probably from a 4th gen Civic or 3rd gen Integra hatch. There was a guy on here who also bought one that turned out to be from a Honda Capa.

Would it be easy just to make one inside of your stock taillight? Drill a hole and put in a bulb?

who asked you all the guy wanted to know is where he can buy one not what you thought of it, damn people cant come here for help without someone flaming them for something, now a days its like anything you do to a car you get flamed for. makes me not even wanna ask for help on honda-tech because people like you. if its that bad to you then dont reply to it just move on and continue threw the fourm. dont question me and why i would buy something if i have the money to spend. the light does have use, you must have never seen one on obviously its just to aid in the rain or fog my goodness. im not even gonna get inot it personally with you because you are a waste of my time, i dont have to prove anything to you or get your approval about something i want to do to my car,

dont even bother replying to me cause your gonna waste your time cause im not reading it so keep the crap to yourself, you say your sorry but if you were just dont bother givign your 2 damn cents!!!!!!!!!

hey bro is it bad that i bought one that comes from a honda capa? i mean really is it that bad? all i know is that jdmland sells it as a integra and civic part i didnt question it that hey if this is from a honda capa i dont want it, all i know is to try and source the actual tailights for my hatch with the foglight intergrated is very rare and it was just easier to go abouts.

On a 6th gen hatch you don't need to even drill a hole.

There's already a hole and socket down there on USDM hatches.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by rhdekhatchie &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">hey bro is it bad that i bought one that comes from a honda capa? i mean really is it that bad? all i know is that jdmland sells it as a integra and civic part i didnt question it that hey if this is from a honda capa i dont want it, all i know is to try and source the actual tailights for my hatch with the foglight intergrated is very rare and it was just easier to go abouts.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I never said it was bad. I wouldn't want it, but I'm not saying it should be a problem to you.

I really don't care what you or anyone else does to their cars. But it'd be nice for them to at least know what it really is they're doing.

And you can just put another socket and wiring for a dual filament bulb in the lower tail light bulb chamber for the hatch and make your own real rear foglight. It doesn't work like that on coupes or sedans (I think), but it will work on hatches.

Oh, and please don't call me bro.
