10,000 rpm
Which engine? I hope it's not a d-series, because before you hit 10000rpm, the piston will outrun the flame front, and your engine will fall flat on its face. This is assuming it doesn't break before this point, and chances are it will.

I've spun my old D16Y7 to 8,500 RPM. It was cool, popping and cackling.
I guess that's what happens though you you downshift too early.
Even if it did make power at 10k, think of how god awful the gearing would be if left stock (even B16/ITR).

Whoa, that picture is nuts.
Light weight rotating assembly with a heavy counter weighted crank."type-r"
Intake, cams, and alike that claim to make power that high, is there a reason for this or what?
Oh, and my car sings through the rpm's pretty quickly w/ the stock tranny. (only taking it to 9k untill it see's a dyno one day) LOL after about 6900 rpm's it feels like it hits boost. haha
