is it practical? is a much better question.
the crv already comes with a 2liter there is no displacement increase you could vtec head swap and increase compression for half the cost of a k20

Well, it'll still cost you an arm and a leg, and wouldnt benefit you as it would in a lighter vehicle. Although it would be baddass for sure, the CRV still weighs well over 3400lbs. I would personally, supercharge the b20 with the sale of the K. that would get the big girl off her heels a little faster than turbo or hp.

if the crv is 2wd, yes it can be done, but awd i dont think so, from what i know you cant use the tranny from b series to k, k series motors crank the opposite way...i would just sell the k motor, put a block guard and v-tech head, may be a turbo or super charger...but if your looking for speed, unless its awd, you wouldn't get too far, it's a bit heavy... but this is just me, your sweat not mine...

I also wonder if the mounts are the same as any other cars that came with a B... Anything is possible for sure though.

You can easily remove the driveshaft, rear differential, and rear axles from the AWD model FYI.
