Will the AEM AirBypassValve Reduce performance on ITR??
I'm not so sure if it will reduce performance, but if you are from San Francisco I would not recommend installing it. You really don't need it. And you have to cut a section out of the intake to install it. I am in the Bay Area, very close to San Francisco, and I've had my AEM without the bypass valve for almost 8 months with no problems, just don't aim for large puddles. And if you think of it this way, the filter acts somewhat like a bypass valve as well. It has to be fully soaked before you suck in water, and that is only if you are driving thru puddles on purpose. Good luck with your decision..
I like North American Deer AND Cement Highway Barriers myself.
I see PY paint smeared on the divider every time I drive home after work.
Oh, and the Bypass does hurt performance, As much as 3-5 WHP.
A.
PS Choose wisely grasshoppa, get an Icebox.

Get a Comptech ICE BOX
or get a comptech drop in filter with the stock box, but keep the resonator. IF you take out the resonator you can lose 2-3 hp
The AEM bypass valve will reduce the performance of your ITR the foam rots out and flies into your throttle body, jamming it open. It happened to a friend of mine. Do not put that p.o.s on your car.
