i had that same problem well i brought a new driver-side headlight. i took apart the head-light and found out that the yellow cover had this build up that blocked most of the light, causing it to be dim. i tried to clean it off with various cleaners and it wouldn't come off. till i sanded it down. but it sanded some yellow off too.
my best suggestion would be just get some new clean yellow covers.

A dim lamp would indicate either not enough current is getting to the lamp from the supply wire (poor relay contacts, corroded or partially broken conductor, etc), or the ground wire isn't passing enough current (broken conductor, corroded connection, etc).
o fo sho. if it would be the bulb cover? where would i be able to find one..wow Perfectionist your pretty smart. but im hella noob when it comes to electrical. ima ask my boi to check these things. thx!
