Default My car idles low after I run it through third

Tonight I put an intake on my car and ran it up the road thru the end of third. I came to a stop, when to take off in 1st and my car hesitated. I looked at my tach and I was idling around 500-600 rpms. It did this before tonight but I was low on empty and thought that was it. I havent had the car long so I am just wondering if maybe plugs may be the cause of my problem. And also when I got home it smelled like something wa burning but I didnt see smoke. I think maybe I just need to change my oil, I just havent had a chance to get to it.

Do some routine maintenance-have the oil changed, the valves adjusted, and perhaps some new spark plugs. It is a wild idea, but it just might work.

I wonder if it the idle air control sensor. that little piece is like $180 everywhere in town so I dont want to be one and still have the same problem. I guess i will start with checking plugs and my fuel filter

Could be a IAC, however that shouldnt cause hesitations. It might be a bad IAT (intake air temp), MAP or TPS sensor. I would start checking those and see what values you come up with (dont just replace them, check them with a volt meter when the car is acting up). You can also take your IACV off and clean it...should help a bit too.

this is not the iacv.
you can drive with the iacv in bad condition.
verify the fuel system (fuel filter, pressure in the rail)
and verify the plugs.
and tell tomorrow the results

sorry because i speak much bad english lol

i am going to check the plugs and everything tonight should have results by 9:30 to 10pm eastern time.last night i changed my oil, took the IACV off and cleaned it really good with intake cleaner. I put it back on and began flushing my radiator, when i got in the car to let it run with the heat on it was fine like usual,as soon as i hit the gas the rpms went up and down and up and down....after i had the coolant in the radiator i drove it up the street came back and sat in my driveway.it idled around 800 so i dont know if its fixed or not. i dont know how to check map,tps..

i didnt get a chance to check anything else tonight.I was putting on a shortshifter and while doing so I met a few cross-threaded bolts.however when i drove around to make sure everything went well i noticed that maybe my hesitation has completly nothing to do with what we thought it was. i was at a stop with my clutch pedal to the floor and my foot resting on the gas pedal. If I very lightly put pressure on the gas pedal my rms drop and i can lightly tap it and the car will shut off?
