Car: 96 Civic Si w/ B16A2, stock exhaust

Does anyone know why? I did not use one of the hanger beside the shifter because it kept hitting it. Oh and the driver side lower mount is not properly attached to the frame because it is broken and my mechanic said it is not too crucial to attach it.

Steering wheel does not vibrate, motor does vibrate.

 

Fix the lower mount and connect the hanger. Find out why the exhaust and shift linkage are hitting and fix that.

Then get back to us.

 

You might also be suffering from an exhaust leak, could be the cause of your "peh peh peh" sound.

 

I've noticed in the past that stock Civics seem to make that sound from the end of the tailpipe.
