RBC intake manifold
alright so im thinking about getting a RBC intake manifold. My question is is it worth it? and will i need to get kpro and a tune so the car will run smooth?
its a big step from a blot on manifold to cams if you ask me yes its worth it even if you dont dc cams and i wouldent bother getting it if you dont have k-pro. i put it on my car with just intake, header and the stock 05 exhaust and i ran a 13.6 after i got it street tuned by a friend that tunes at a shop. oh and do you plan to stay all motor?
I was planning on putting in a RBC manifold too... but also with a BDL throttle body... However; undecided about a aftermarket intake... Im just scared of hydrolock with a CAI, and losing hp with a short ram !!! sum input ???
If you worried about hydrolock that bad, why not go with the ARC induction box, or the Mugen box??? Although, with a short ram, you shouldn't have to worry to much about hydrolocking unless you're gonna try and float across a river or something, lol

Many people reccomend staying with the stock manifold if you are road racing on tracks with a lot of low speed entries and exits or auto cross and I mean a lot. Even on a stock set up you will notice a gain. I know a couple of local guys where they have all the external bolt on goodies and no tuning and one guy has an RBC manifold and the other doesn't and he is out by a half car by the top of third gear. It is what it is.

If hydrolock is a concern then y not a bypass valve? I am wanting a CAI soon an was going to get it with a bypass valve. Y R people so concerned about hydrolocking if U can get a bypass valve? Is there something bad about a bypass valve I don't know or are they not that good? I know AEM is the only so far I know of that makes it. But they do come in other sizes that could fit other CAI's I beleive.
