Progressive or Linear on stock dampers?

Default Progressive or Linear on stock dampers?

The stock R springs are progressive, so is it bad to put linear springs on the stock damper? And who else makes progressive springs besides spoon?

Virtually all of the aftermarket springs for the stock shocks are "progressive".
