CRX noise elimination hatch squeak dash rattle
Alright so I got all the electrical problems fixed in my car and even put my Alpine back in - turns out I needed a new battery
. At any rate my dash has always rattled as well as my hatch while driving and I was wondering if anyone knows exactly what it is or has experienced this before. I believe two sources are; the outside air vent switcher and the temp **** screws on the back of the climate control. And my hatch rattles and sqeaks as well through searching I read you can tape electrical tape on the metal loop and fully unscrew the rubber stoppers but has anyone successfully eliminated all their noise issues?

For the hatch squeaks/rattles I would replace the gas struts that help hold up the hatch. They get worn out and allow the hatch to move slightly when you get bumps and uneven pavement. I have had this issue in all of my EF's, I have had 4 so far, and the struts have made the big difference.

The tape on the hatch works well. I am still having issues with echo-locating the sounds from my dash. I now believe my radio has something to do with it as well as my climate control ****. I am taking it all apart tonight.

It's actually not... this picture was from right before I nicked mine and had to put yours in. My old dash was absolutely flawless too, never made a sound - a shame I had that gay *** short throw in the car which led to misinstallation of the console

When I had my old rex I made a hatch bracing bar between the trunk strut bolts and it cleared up the noise...plus my JDM factor went up like crazy
I fixed my hatch squeak by unscrewing the latch and removing the metal spacer plate behind it. It allows the hatch to close tighter. The noise never came back.
for the hatch on my old rex happend cuz it was slightly bent dont know if urs is but u might want to cheak and for the dash it might have been worped a little bit when u put it in so its not sitting right i would try that tape idea sounds like it would work
ihey guys the tape around the loop thing is a great tip did it on a friends and worked perfect. but when i did it on my 88std still the noise was as strong b4 i did it. turned out to be the hatch seal. i live in socal so the sumer can be brutal on rubber especially this old rubber. it sorta polishes the contact area and the struts do allow it to move a lil so add those together and u get some annoying *** squeaking. i took a scotch bright pad and GENTLY went around the hatch seal to roughen it up a bit. tightend down the struts a bit, took her for a spin. nothing but silence. but becareful if u do what i did, u can easily damage or even tear that seal. and if so its about 160 through honda and u have to wait 2+ days to get it. try wetting the pad if a lil nervous it helps lubricate it and keeps u from rubbing to hard.
