If it is not coming out from the tranny or half shaft try to pry it. I would not bang on it tranny can crack its aluminum. Try a ball joint fork type tool!

didnt you take off the parts that you need to take off before you take the axle out frm the disk rotor?

after use a flat head screw-driver to pry out the axle frm the tranny.

Just to make sure, you did take out the damper fork, unbolt the lower ball joint, and pop the lower ball joint bolt out of the lower arm right? Once you do that, you should be able to turn the spindle enough to pull out the axle. Did this about 6 times in the past 2 days. Autozone seems to not carry the correct integra axle.

If you did everything that funtak suggested, and your just going to junk that axle, pound the living **** out of the threaded end, and it should come out.

well i just changed both axles in my 95 gs-r and it went pretty smooth. my axle was also snapped in half. i'm taking it u lifted the the hub/ball joint off of the lca correct? and it should just be half of ur axle stickin out of ur hub. it seems the only tool u need is a bigger hammer because the only thing u need to do is pound it out. it will come, and if not go to the local gym and i'm sure somewhere there will assist u, haha happy hammerin!

I've found, if you take a phillips head screw driver, a rather large one, place a towel over the axel, and stick the screw driver in the hold on the axel, pound on the screw driver with a hammer, it'll come out a lot easier, have someone hold the hub to the side so it can slide out as you hit it. I swap axels in 20 mins doing this.
