Default s2000 steering wheel in a 4th gen?

I have seen it done in 5th gens time and time again. I was wondering if it is possible for it to be done in a 4th gen? also, how much does a s2000 wheel go for with the airbag?

well take the steering column from the 5th gen, not from the rack and pinion but from the midpoint since there is a joint there that can be taken off. should be right by the firewall. thats prettymuch it.
also you can only use the ap1 steering wheel, ap2 wont fit.

I've also lost interest on looks, but the idea is out, if anyone has access to a parts 5th, maybe you can go ahead and do the transfer.

OT: So I've been reading that an AP2 steering wheel won't work with 5th gens because of the dual stage srs? Is it TRUE? Does anyone have a 5th gen with a AP2 steering wheel.

Does anyone have a clue if the 5g and 4g steering columns are even the same size and length from that point? If so that would be great to have such a nice steering wheel and an airbag. no airbag sux

So if anyone can help me out with this, we may be able to finally put s2k steering wheels, type-s steering wheels, rsx steering wheels, etc.

here is what i got, i am gonna take the components out of the steering column probably this weekend.

this chit came with the ignition and a key, LOL

Default Re: s2000 steering wheel in a 4th gen?

Guys I have a 4th gen prelude that I want to use the s2000 steering wheel in.

I KNOW THE SPLINES ARE DIFFERENT.

But I'm having a shop modify it so that the s2000 wheel will physically fit the 4th gen's spline.

Now that thats done, I've gotta worry about the air bag and cruise and horn wiring.

Now I've read this link at NTPG: 5g S2k Wheel Install

And I'm CONFIDENT that I can follow that DIY and use it.

MY problem is, I'm not sure that the connectors for the Air Bag and Cruise on the 5th gen are the same on the 4th gen. I KNOW they're not the same as the S2000's and therefore will require modification. I wanna know if 4th and 5th gens are the same.

And thats what I need your help with fellahs... Other than the spline issue, do you all know if this DIY write up will work for the 4th gen?

Thanks in advance for any/all help/info you can provide!Ultimately I think I can figure out the cruise control, its the airbag connector i'm concerned with beacuse I really dont want to mess with the wires for that-

These are the only pics I can find of the 4th gen's airbag connector. If you have any info on this or can help me figure this out before I start dropping money on an AP1 wheel, I'd REALLY appreciate it!
