Default not going into 5th?

hey guys, i just encountered a really wierd problem today.

i cant get into 5th gear....and when i cant get into 5th it somehow unsyncs all my gears so i cant get into any of them.

when this happens i have to press the clutch a billion times for it to resync.

has this happened to any of you guys before?

this problem has never happened to me before.....

Does it pop out of 5th too when you get it in? I've seen this happen alot when a trans is completely dry (out of fluid)

No your not low you have no fluid in your trans, check for leaking axle seals. and put some fluid in that thing before you kill your bearings.

There is no dipstick on honda manual trans. correct way to fill is to take out 17 mm bolt on the pass side just above the pass axle, get a funnel with a rubber hose on the end or something so you can put it in the fill hole and fill till the fluid starts to drip out of the fill hole. Usually a B-series takes about 2 1/4 quarts and a d series takes about 2 quarts.

The "ghetto" way is to take out the speed sensor (one 10 mm bolt) and fill in from that hole which its better to do that than not have any fluid in your trans. Alot of people find this method easier but you can overfill your trans this way too.
