Please, do not get the Tein. They're junk. They've been junk for years. Their about as useful as lowering springs. I just think it's pointless to spend over a grand on something to lower your car while ruining your good handling.

pretty much AND their coils are sub par also.

They have been in the market for a while , when they FIRST came to the US they springboarded off their big tuner market and high end kits.
The US market is flooded with sub par products under a "brand name"

Ok after hours of searching and reading forums, wat do you guys think. 550 shipped for the HFP suspension kit. Now this is where im stumped do i want to use Eibach sportlines or the progress springs. SL 1.4(f)(r) progress 1.4(f) 1.3(R). With the HFP kit does the front sit lower then the rear or is it about even? thanks wnna buy but end of this week.

Progress springs are great. I have them, and have sold many sets of them, and everyone I sell them to loves them. I also have the Progress sway bar, which complemented the springs nicely.

8thCivic.com is worth a ****, but there is a user on there that has HFP shocks and Progress springs, and says the handling is much tighter compared to the Progress springs with stock shocks.

Here's what the drop looks like:

FINALLY! Someone who knows how to put tire shine on their car.

Clean! That's gonna be my next setup. HFP shocks and either Sportlines or Progress. Still debating.

If you get the HFP, why not just keep the springs it comes with? The dampers are designed for those springs, anything else and you're just asking to wear out those dampers quickly and change the handling dynamics the kit was designed for.

^^b/c a 1in drop isnt all i want, i want a 1.4 drop which gives me looks and having a shcok that is 1in lower then stock wont wear as fast as stock shocks will with a lowering spring. also the Shocks gives better handeling.

whats the life line of the stock dampers with progress springs? how does it compare to the stock ride. Ride quality good bad? Im assuming better handling, but not sure because the stock dampers werent specifically designed for the progress springs. Is there a company that makes some good dampers besides by hfp. I plan on suspension upgrade as my first mod. What suspension set up do you guys recommend whether it is spring shock combo or full coilovers(besides by the hfps im looking for a lil lower drop). tried searching btw. also very new to 06 and up forum. Ive been in here for about a week, not to much info for me to soak up compared to the others on ht

Well then your wasting your time. How do the shocks give you better handling? They're designed for a .8inch or so drop. Adding another half inch to that throws off all the design that went into it. I'd suggest you do a lil more research on suspension before you throw $550 away. Just because they're designed as a better suspension system doesn't make them automatically better with different springs.

If you want a lower drop, just get coilovers. To spend $800+ on springs and dampers that aren't designed to work with each other is just a poor choice.

And just to add, if you want better handling, a 1.4" drop is a bad idea. I'm no suspension guru, but I've been reading a bit on this from others who actually know quite a bit about this stuff, and all you're doing is throwing your suspension out of whack. I was told comptech springs are about as aggressive as you should go before messing up your suspension geometry. Lowering your car to look better and handle worse than stock =

it will help slightly in performnace but im in it for the look. also the stock sturts wont last as long as the hfp's with the progress springs. i also am installiong the springs this weekend and ima let them settle b4 i buy the HFP struts b/c of that drop i may not have room for the 18x8's. I get what your saying and it makes sense. but iw as looking for coilovers and the purpose of coils dosnt match the purpose that im buying springs.

ok fellas i dropped it 24hrs ago and let me tell you it took about 4hrs. after everything was done. my only concern is that the rear tires are tucked not even a finger gap but the front still has about a 2finger gap. the pic that is shown is lower in the front then the rear. also there is a lil but noise coming from the front. has anyone heard of this and does anyone kno if the springs will settle enough to make the front lower then the rear. THANKS
