Has anyone done an ignition kill switch? Is it even a good idea I heard you should never cut any wires to your ignition. If you have done this what color wire do you cut? any advice will be appreciated thanks.

 

ive done it....
but i dont remember the color...
do it to the main relay.
(black)
make sure its thick wire 2.
or else not enoguh power will run threw
it.

 

kill switch is a bad idea then how can someone steal your car

I to this day still dont understand why peopl dont just put a kill swich on the ignition power line to the ECU. It is a small gauge/low current wire, and the car is not going anywhere with it disabled. This seems to be highly overlooked IMO.

 

that is a good idea what color wire is it? I do already have a cut off for my full pump but my car almost got stolen last week if it wasnt for the kill switch,so i want to put another kill switch somewhere on the car

 

another good idea for one is the neutral safety switch. is easier to do and it is also a low gage low current wire.
