Track ready boosted ITR ... ready for ITR Expo 8 @ VIR
There are still a number of things to be done to the car (splitter, brake ducting, sideskirts, DL1, foglight switch, re-locate DEFI gauges to dash, padding, etc.), but I think its finally ready for some track testing.

I have a 3-ccd video camera and I/O mount setup for inside the car, and just got a mini hd cam and suction cup setup for an outside mounting arrangement.

gonna be good time for sure
beat the **** out of it now before expo so you can fix all the **** that tends to break. and I hope you have sufficient cooling. Id recommend straight water and water wetter. good luck.

I'm not gonna try and fool anyone ... I hardly turned a wrench on it, and I'll be paying for it for quite a while.
But its DONE!

I've got a proper coolant mix, have a turbo blanket and a copious amount insulation material for the turbo, manifold and nearly the whole exhaust.
Plus, with the JDM nose there's some additional cooling w/o having to cut a hole in the bumber cover.
Well that, and a big oil cooler and remote oil filter next to the radiator.

Looks like alot of work was put into the cage. I like how the door panels were half cut. The center console was cut to accomodate the cross beam. It looks like you wanted to achieve an all out race car while keeping as much interior components as possible, true?

did you have to go with a halfsize radiator? I had plenty of airflow, header wrap, just not enough radiator surface area to disipate the heat.
also, I heard track cars with remote oil filters can be bad news. I hope you didnt mount the filter too high.

Did you notice the JDM "tweeter eliminator" panels just for that!
The console is still being dealt with.
I'd also like to get all the DEFI gauges up on the dash, in front of the clock.
But it's streetable and registered.

Piper Motorsports did the cage, seats/belts and mounts, fire system and suspension work.

WOW!
I dont know what is sexier.......the beautiful turbo/engine..... or the Moton remotes mounted to the Mugen strut bar......
spared no expense I see......that is the way to do something right....

Looks amazing, hope all goes well w/ shakedown runs....

Thanks, things have been going well and not a single leak so far.
To be frank, I've started an ITR strut tower bar collection
I think I'm up to 3 fronts and 2 rears.
Hoping to use them as towel racks or the like once i get an enclosed trailer.

That's what I asked them.
But in reality the full stock full width ITR spec radiator was sort of a thin single layer.
I'm hoping to insulate most of the radiant heat areas, dissipate some more heat through the oil cooler and then just open up (and direct) that central JDM vent where needed, as needed.
