Default 07 civic subwoofer

I work technician at Honda and a customer came in complaining about the subwoofer rattling and so it was replaced, it ended up being the plastic deck it was mounted in. I ending up aquiring the baby boomer and i want to hook it up in my 93 Four Door sedan. Now, on in.honda.com its not going to tell me how to hook this factory equipment up to my aftermarket JVC KD-S30. I'm looking on opinions for amp options and locations to mount this 6 inch (i think its 6) sub.

So wait... Let me see if I understand you correctly.

You're wanting to hook up an OEM 6 inch subwoofer in your 1993 Four Door Sedan? I've never heard of a Four Door Sedan. Who's it made by?

Anyways... Are the ohm & wattage ratings printed on the magnet of the sub? Let's start there. It's probably going to be 10-20 watts, so find the smallest wattage amp you can buy that has an on-board low-pass filter (crossover). Then, you're going to need power & ground wires, remote wire & RCA's run to the amp mounting location.

Now, we need to figure out a place to mount that "sub". It was mounted in the rear deck of the Civic, so it will need to be mounted similar location on your "Four Door Sedan". It will need to have near perfect separation of the airspaces on the front & rear of the sub, otherwise, it'll sound like another fullrange speaker.

It's doubtful that all of this work is going to be worth the time & effort & money needed to obtain a very marginal sound.

My suggestion would be to put the speaker up on eBay or craigslist and buy a proper amp & sub that will actually produce some sound.
