Default JIC Magic FLTa2 specs

My application is for an ITR. does anyone have any specs on the springs? Length/diameter/spring rates?

As far as i know, the spring rates are 10k up front and 7k in the rear.

I have a chance to buy a pair of swift 16k spring rates and planned on using them in front while moving the 10k springs in the rear. does anyone know if that will work?

16k is almost 900lbs. Wouldn't make a fun street car.

Unless some one has a lot of time spent with them, they can't give you the answers about valving you are looking for.

JIC burned a lot of people on this site, mostly racers. So they haven't been very popular on this site.

Second you are working on an *** backwards setup. 900 lbs front springs? A little much IMO, and run 500 or 600lbs rear springs???

through the 16k in the back and keep the 10k up front.

yeah, i heard jic's customer service is horrible so it might be time to just sell em and get new suspension.

as far as it being *** backwards, i realized that and wanted to keep it that way since they come stiffer in front than the rear. if worse came to worse, its as simple as swapping them.

I would make sure they can handle that much rate. If not, I would just look into something already re-valved from Koni. Much less guesswork. And I may be wrong, but I thought the JIC stuff used 7", 60mm ID springs.

personally i wouldn't run 16k/10k, but wouldn't 10k/16k be mega tail happy?

either way, i don't think EG/DC FLT-A2s can handle much more than +2kg/mm all around. when i had mine i couldn't tell the difference between full soft and full stiff. narrow rebound adjustment range FTL

The FLT-A2 dampers are pretty notorious for blowing even with the standard spring rates; doubling that would probably make them feel severely underdamped and likely reduce the lifespan even more . . .

I wish you best of luck having them re-valved, because JIC's service in the US is abysmal.

yeah, i figured the higher rates would age them faster since my jic's already have a good amount of miles on them.

but yeah, heard about their customer service which is why i dont plan on getting them rebuilt or re-valved. im steering clear from that and getting new suspension once these take a dump. thanks for the responses
