Odyssey: Stock Speaker Wire Polrity
I've got a 2002 Odyssey and I've purchased some replacement speakers for the front doors. I've already installed the speakers, however I believe that they're out of phase.
Does anybody know what the polarity of the stock speaker wiring to the front doors is? Which wire is positive, which one negative? Also, does anyone know if there is a crossover on the front door speakers? I've bought coaxes for the doors, but I don't know if the stock speakers were filtered or not; there are separate stock tweeters in the dash at the base of the windshield.
Thanks for any help guys

Maybe next time you should consider buying the speaker harnesses that are made to specifically prevent situations like this?

And no, there are no crossovers on OEM speakers. There is a small capacitor on the positive lead going to the tweeter, but that's about it.

Thanks for the link. I didn't use a harness because I didn't replace the radio, just the speakers, (wanna keep the DVD/radio system for the kiddies in the back) but the wire code on the link you supplied is exactly what I was looking for.
Thanks again...
Thanks again...
Your link had 3 radio wiring harnesses. No speaker harnesses...I didn't even know they made speaker harnesses...no harm, no foul; I had the driver door backward. Sounds much better now; got the bass back. Needs a sub though.
