Default help with ignition kill switch

Hi I want to put a kill switch on my ignition can anyone help me with what exactl i need to do. I am thinking about putting a magnetic switch on it and was wondering what color is the power wire, and also does there only need to be a current flow just when starting the car? Or does it only need power to start the car and then i can take the magnet off once i get the car running? any advice will be appreciated thanks.

you probably shouldn't mess with the ignition wiring if you don't know what you are doing. A better wire to attack would be the fuel pump power wire. Quite a bit less juice flows through that wire, and it is just as effective AND there are writeups around here on how to do it. You would only need to change "Toggle Switch" to "Magnetic switch" in most of the writeups i have seen. Check out the FAQ section at the top of the thread to find good links without having to search.

edit: i got board and found the link for you.. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1297327
