B18C1 (head & block), 93xxx miles, DC2 GS-R
BLOCK
Stock
HEAD
AEM ITR CAI
ITR TB
Blox IM, Hondata IM gasket
ITR intake cam, GS-R exhaust cam
Skunk2 Cam Gears, 6 bolt pro series
Toda Timing Belt
Supertech Valvetrain
Slowmotion Fuel Rail, stock FPR
Unorthodox crank pulley
Tri-Y Header (Rage or eBay)
Omnipower Test Pipe
Apexi N1
OBD1 P72 tuned w/ CromePro
i'm going for a reliable dd street/track build. for now i want to use just an itr intake cam but will probably swap these cams out for Blox B's in the future. i like the powerband of itr cams for the street. is it ok to use an aftermarket valvetrain with this cam setup? i want to go with supertech vt because it will also support aftermarket cams in the future if i swap them out.
as far as a header goes, i originally was going to go with the hytech replica but i just don't trust the ground clearance with my dc2. i'm thinking about going with a tri-y for added power during tuning and with this setup. i'm slammed and i dd on shitty ohio roads
the profab might even be better for this setup but i've researched dynos and the two headers i'm looking at say different.
as far as exhaust, i'd like to get rid of the N1 and swap it out for a true 2.5" or a BC Spec II. i don't care about if its quiet or not... i'm looking for the most power possible.
this is a budget build, obviously. i'm shooting for 190+ whp and want to go high 13s. this will be in a stripped down gs-r w/ a gs-r tranny.
suggestions/answers to my questions will be appreciated

i'ved used after market valve train with itr and ctr cams before with no issues. so you should be fine. why don't you try the Pro 1's?
don't mean to thread jack but i'm doing something like this right now, my daily driver dc is stock but i plain to do some slunk2 goodies on mine. i just ordered the jdm itr header, reason i wanted the itr 4-2-1 header is cause it has the sleeper look with the heat shield and skid plate cause my dc is pretty low as well but not slammed, i also plan to use the itr oem intake box and arm with some customization for home depot.(laugh now but check out the link of Erick's itr swapped eg he made more power with that than a cai) cops are real strict in my neck of the woods so i plan to keep the bay looking near stock. but with skunk2 valve train and cams, so im interested to see what you make. im not trying to make crazy power i just want to make enough power to have fun in it. i already have a all motor drag eg don't need two fully built all motor cars
Ericks itr swapped eg

and GL with your goals.

i'm thinking about doing an itr valvetrain instead of the supertech and keeping the same cams. itr valves. i want to pull 190+ with an oem itr setup w/ a good tune. i'll probably want to go aftermarket shortly after that and shoot for low 200s. tough choice...
I believe you are going to come up short on your goal of 190whp with the stock block, 10:1 compression.
I am currently running CTR/ITR cams with 11.5:1 and am making about 190 with an undersized exhaust system. You may want to think about some pistons.

i'm probably just going to go with the supertech springs/retainers. i'm keeping the current cams because i want to see whats the most power i can pull with this setup. i'm hoping for 190 whp but i wouldn't be disappointed if it fell short. my goal now really is just to get the head together and get it tuned asap. i don't think high 13s should be a problem.

change of plans...
i'm going with portflow inner springs/itr outer and keeping my itr intake cam. i'm deciding between the high-end tri-y or the hytech replica. i'm going to get it tuned asap! i want to get this setup tuned and see what it puts down. i'll be happy with just this setup for a dd street/track car
i like itr parts for the reliability and power when tuned right.
