Nurbergring (sp?) in Germany is largest in the world?

Which one is largest in North America? In the world?

North america.. I can't remember if its Road Atlanta or Road America.. VIR is close though at 3.27 miles...

 

I was watching Gansan drive it on Best Motoring. I thought he was on the highway for the longest time.

 

Road America = ~4 miles.

Once VIR has the "extra pavement" finished... it will be the longest @ ~4.2 miles.

Road Atlanta = 2.54 miles
Mid-Ohio = 2.40 miles
Laguna Seca = 2.24 miles
Lime Rock = 1.53 miles

HAHHAHA, i must agree! indy and dyatona have pretty long straigts. oh, also that new one in texas, the one that the cart teams couldnt race on becuase of to many G's going into the first turn. ( it was like 3 plus g's! )

I know someone who has run at the Runoffs in GT-4, and (as I'd suspected) ran out of gearing before hitting the end of the back straight.
That SOB wouldn't sell me that 3.8 FD for the CRX and never installed it in his own car, ... so I got a nice bit of peverse satisfaction after hearing his "woes"!

Well is a course but You won't find me on it... its 1.35 miles
its @ racewaypark...

 

I might be wrong...but I think Buttonwillow Raceway in CA is 3 miles long.

 

I checked out/walked the Raceway Park road course. It is very unsafe if you look at it. Many places, if you slid out, you'd go into oncoming traffic and/or slide down a steep incline very possible flipping your car.

They are trying to get bikes on the course too.

 

How in the hell did "Raceway Park" come up in a discussion of largest/longest roadcourse in the world???

Nope. According to this website, the course used for the Manx TT motorcycle race is 39 miles long. But don't look for that information on the official Manx TT website, which has more pictures of naked babes than it does information about the track!
