I just bought a new tachometer and I just got done installing it, but I have a weird problem. My tachometer is some how off. When I bring it to redline it stops at 5 thousand rpm. The gear ratios are all correct because when i'm in second gear it goes to 60 but the redline will still be at 5 thousand in second gear. Can anyone help me?

 

Does the tach have an adjustable redline? That could be the reason it stops at 5 grand.
