I'm back biiiiiii&@#$es..got me a 99 integra
Hey what's up guys! I haven't been on here for so long. Well i crashed my bimmer so i got me a integra today to drive around. It came with ugly altezzas so they gotta go! It's a 1999 i blieve an LS it's silver, tinted windows and black and gray leather interior, 5 speed, overall pretty nice, 130K miles. Couple of questions tho:
1. The temperature needle doesn't always go to the half and stay there, but the heat works awesome, like it burns on 1!
2. Fuel pump is making rather loud buzzing noise when i'm about to start the car, i know it's suppose to do that, but how loud is too loud? And how normal is this.
I also noticed that when i'm on the highway, the needle moves to the cold a little and then goes back to normal driving around city.
Thanks!!!

1. Your temp needle shouldn't go to half....it should be about a third of the way between cold and hot (closer to cold).
2. Your pump should prime for about three seconds then you shouldn't hear anything follow that. Shouldn't be louder than your super hot heater fan I guess....can't really think of a comparison.

Thanks for the replies guys. The needle doesn't flunctuate, if it did i was pretty sure it's the t-stat but i guess that's where it stays. As far as fuel pump, it kinda sounds like it's spitting fuel out a small hole and buzzing at the same time type of deal? The seat is lifted up, i guess someone took it out before and didn't put it in right, maybe that's why it's loud, since it's exposed more to the cabin, rather than being covered by the seat.

if its buzzing it is probably an aftermarket fuel pump.

I'll check it out whenever i have time, but basically i shouldn't worry about it? I doubt it's an aftermarket one tho, but you never know.

Well first off..if it was leaking fuel in the cabin you wouldnt be able to drive it. The smell would be too overwhelming.
Either its aftermarket or its going out.
Never heard what a pump sounds like on its way out, so i wouldnt know. I have however heard an aftermarket fuel pump and they buzz.

I think that it's an LS because i don't know what the difference is between an LS and GS, it does have a B18B motor, so i now it's not a gs-r, but did come with leather seats, so i don't know.
I don't know lol, i'll probably runt he VIN to see which one it is. I wonder why i only have 12 posts, i used to have at least couple of grand?

You either have an LS Special or a GS (dunno if they did an LS special in 99)
