jdm - usdm alternator issues
alright guys, so i believe my alternator is going bad on my jdm b18c and I bought another one from a guy in the classifieds forum. Well I'm not positive what alternator is on the motor since its in storage and I'm not currently looking at it but I know the type r usdm alternators are made by mitsubishi. The one I bought from this guy told me it was out of a type r but its made by denso. Will it work? I believe the pulleys are different sizes? The one I bought is stamped 12V on it, are the voltage ratings for the denso and mitsubishi alternators different?
I know denso makes the oem alternators for the non itr motors. But if I use the usdm oem belt, could i get away with a usdm alternator then? I don't see why not? I just need to know the major differences between the denso alternator and the mitsubishi alternator
