what tranny fluid did you use?

I would recommend getting some GM synchromesh tranny fluid. It doesn't necessarily fix the grinds, but more or less hides them. I would try that first.

Unfortunately, to fully repair grinds, your more than likely going to have to do a transmission rebuild.

Taking your 2-4 gears out and scuffing the gear cones will probably alleviate most of the grinding you are having.

as gursh said, to fix the problem, you are probably going to have to take the trans out and open it up to see whats going on.

by far the easiest test

no clutch is easier to adjust than the rex's

just reach down the where the plastic nut is (it is made to adjust with your hand) pull up just a little to get the nut to move over the lock nub and tighten it till you have no more that 1/2 inch of play on the clutch pedal.

this assumes you dont have a custom clutch, if so look up the clutch plate mfgr recommendation

Good luck I hope it is just clutch wear

sounds like you need to adjust the cable. you probably need to tighten it a bit
