Painting Calipers...HELP?!
I'm planning to paint my calipers soon, but i'm still wondering what's the best way to do them. I've heard you can take them off and paint them, or you can just leave them on and paint them...what have you guys done....
Another thing is colour selection, i've got a silver teg and was planning on painting the calipers yellow...yeah or neah

I think you are going to be hard pressed to find many people on this board that have painted their calipers on this board, I could be wrong.
And as to answer your question Red for color <--american way of spelling hehe
and take them off it will save some hassle

I have a red teg and i painted my calipers red. I just left my calipers on and just covered the parts that i didn't want painted. They came out pretty nice and paint yours either silver or blue.
i took rubbig alcohol and cleaned them well, then covered up w/ news paper what i didn't want painted. Then painted very very thin coats on....turned out great. Don't drive for like 24 hrs. after you do it
I know a guy that painted the calipers on his Cavalier... He just bought a can of high heat blue paint, took the wheels off, and sprayed the calipers. He didn't mask anything at all, so it got some on the rotor, but I believe it wore off pretty fast (it's been 2 weeks now and I can't see blue on the rotor anymore). His calipers look good now; he even missed some spots, but it's hard to tell when his wheels are on.
But if I were you, I'd take the extra minute or so to do it right... just pull them off, clean them, paint them, and then put them back on. It should be pretty easy to do all that. I don't think doing it the lazy way saves you much effort/time.
