thats why i was asking, thank you? i wanted to know wha the reason was. some people think that any bondo on their car is bad. maybe the bondo was not put over bare metal and some was flaking off, maybe rust had started forming under it. anyways, thanks for commenting and not helping out at all. people are useless on here somtimes.

well, welfarepc is right, some sort of grinding wheel, flat head, chisel, etc. what part of the car is this on?

the problem you may find is that you might not be able to get to the back of the dent. if you could, then you could try and hammer out most the dent. you could get you a cheap body hammer and a dollie, or a small block of wood, put the wood on the outside of the dent and then tap it out from the inside. if you cant get to the inside then you would either have to drill 1/8" holes and get a dent puller, which isnt as bad as everyone makes it out to be, or get a stud gun and weld studs to it, then you have a puller that attaches to the stud to pull them out.
is there anything wrong with the body work or are you scared it might be a problem? you might do all this and find that someone filled a hole or something.

finishing off bondo isnt that easy, it might look good and feel good to you, but then when you paint it, it will look completely different. i have a guy that works for me that went through wyotech for collision and hot rod building that still cant finish it off perfect. its a little harder than most people think.

i can do the final bondo fine, not a problem, but there is bondo filling rust holes and its bubbling back so im gonna get all the bondo out, cut out the metal an inch away from the rust and fiber glass it out, make it final and paint the bitch.

o raleey? datz raleey heelpfl inf1matin, thaks

to the OP: the best way is to get all the crap out before even thinking applying more.

bondo is a finish/surface additive, it's not going to stop rust or hold up anything structural if you know what i mean.

Also make sure you protect the back side/ inner part of the panel your working on with some 2k epoxy or POR 15 paint, before you finish off the work. If your dealing with the wheel well areas this is really important. Re-undercoat the wheel house if its failing or if your repairing that area.
