What does 20 in the pic in the link below do? Does it carry a lock pin at the end of it? The description of it is BOLT, SPECIAL (M8X1.25)

Doesn't seem to be doing anything in none of my H22A engines and they don't have the lock pin on them either.

IIRC it's for the tensioner. When you unscrew it it holds the tensioner back so that you can meddle with the timing belt.
Personally, I would dump the auto tensioner for the manual one in any engine you care to keep.

Personally, I do this every time I swap engines for people.
Once this bloody automatic tensioner took crap on me in the very first crank of the engine...
