Alright, well i've searched the forum pretty good and can't find my answer I'm looking for so I'm going to just have to ask it. Can I use the valve cover that is on my NON VTEC D16Y7 head and use it on a VTEC head (the D16Y8) I know that you can't on the 5th gens cause the spark plugs are in different spots, but what about the 6th gens? I just don't want to get another one since I put a lot of time into painting it, detailing it, and what not. Thanks

 

As far as I know you can swap those ones.

D16Y8 and D16Y7 valve covers are not only interchangeable but they are the exact same.

Plugs on the front, and say "HONDA" across the top, and ALSO work on D16Z6 heads (As well as D16Z6 covers work on D16Y8's and D16Y7's)

 

for parts interchangeability, I look at http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com

It's a honda dealer. Look up the part under the car, and match up the part numbers. That's how I roll.
